ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — Court documents allege that a man left his son unattended in a bath tub filled with water, which resulted in the infant drowning on August 2. Monday, an involuntary manslaughter charge was levied against Shawn D. Winkfield-Maynard, 24, from St. Joesph, Mo.

Winkfield-Maynard is set to be formally arraigned on Friday, his bond has been set at $5,000 cash plus $70,000 surety according to court records. The St. Joseph News-Press reports that Winkfield-Maynard is currently at large. He was arrested the night of the drowning on an outstanding warrant but bonded out of jail.
