SHAWNEE, Kan. — Police confirmed a 62-year-old Fed Ex employee injured Wednesday morning while working died from his injuries.

Police were called to the Fed Ex located at 8000 Cole Parkway in Shawnee, Kan., shortly before 7 a.m. on Wednesday. Police found Dwight Spencer of Gardner, Kan., pinned between a trailer and a loading dock. He was transported to an area hospital with critical injuries where he later died.

The Shawnee Traffic Safety Unit continues to investigate.

In March of this year, another Fed Ex worker was killed at the same location when he fell under the wheels of one of the tractor-trailers and was run over.
