RAYTOWN, Mo. – Police are investigating after a man dressed as a woman allegedly robbed a bank.
Shortly after 2:00 p.m. on Monday, officers were dispatched to a reported bank robbery at the 
UMB Bank located at 6252 Raytown Road. Police said a black male in his mid to late 30’s, who they believe was acting alone, entered the bank wearing woman’s clothing and placed a large orange or coral colored purse on the counter, demanding cash. No weapon was ever displayed. He then fled on foot, heading in the southwest direction from the bank.
The suspect was described as wearing a brown wig with blond highlights, gold framed costume glasses and an orange busy print skirt or dress. He is approximately 5’10” tall and weighs an estimated 180 lbs.
