GLADSTONE, Mo. — Police are investigating the death of a 19-year-old man in Gladstone.

Police said they responded to the 6900 block of N. Bales around 9:45 p.m. Monday after receiving a report of a shooting. When officers arrived, they located the victim in the back seat of a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds. He was transported to North Kansas City Hospital where he later died. His name has not yet been released.

Back at the scene, two black males were seen running eastbound from the crime scene. Officers searched the  area, and even used a canine to assist in the search, but officers were unable to locate them.
