LENEXA, Kan. – One man has been critically injured after he was struck by a vehicle while standing on the highway.

On Friday, Eric P. Martin, 41, of Gardner was standing next to his disabled vehicle at the 24.8 mile marker on K-10 highway, when he was struck by a driver going westbound. Martin was parked in the outside lane of the highway when the other vehicle sideswiped his car and collided with him.

Martin was taken to an area hospital after being critically injured during the incident.
