KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A young driver is dead after speeding down a street popular with hill jumpers. The fatal accident happened near 46th and Pittman just before 2 a.m. on Friday.

FOX 4 has learned the driver is a 21-year-old Kansas City man who lives in the area. A sergeant confirmed that he was driving fast and not wearing a seatbelt.

Witness Larry Painter saw and heard the car drive by his house twice. The second time the car was headed northbound, crashed and landed in a woman’s yard.

Authorities tell FOX 4 the car flipped at least four times and the driver was ejected. Police say it’s an ongoing investigation, and the driver has yet to be identified.
