KANSAS CITY, Mo. — They’re packed and ready to go! Twelve people from Kansas City, Mo., are making the 16-hour trek to Washington, D.C. for Monday’s Inauguration.
The group left from Papa Lew’s Saturday afternoon.
FOX 4 was told the youngest on-board is 24 and the oldest in his 70s.
Don Pleasant thinks the trip is a great history lesson and a way to show his support for the Commander-in-Chief.
“It’s important because I want to show my kids, my grand kids and I want to show people that we have to support the president,” he said.
The group said they hope President Obama addresses the gun issue in his speech.
They are expected to return to the Kansas City area on Thursday.
