MIAMI — Sarah McLinn, 19, charged with the Jan. 14th murder of a Lawrence, Kan., man, was granted bail in Miami federal court on Wednesday, allowing her to be transferred back to the state of Kansas.

On Saturday, Jan. 25, McLinn was arrested at Everglades National Park for illegal camping and drug possession. McLinn was discovered sleeping in the back seat of her car in the visitor center parking lot.

Rangers found a small amount of hashish, two firearms, two knives and an ax in the vehicle. According to the Miami Herald, an officer close to the investigation said one of the knives is believed to be the weapon used to kill 52-year-old Harold Sasko.

A timeline for McLinn’s return has not yet been announced.
