LAWRENCE, Kan. – A 19-year-old Lawrence woman has been located, along with a missing vehicle, several states away from where she was last seen.

Lawrence police have been searching for Sarah Brooke Gonzales McLinn, who has been missing and wanted in connection to a homicide investigation involving her former employer and housemate, Harold Sasko.

On Sunday afternoon, detectives from the Lawrence Police Department confirmed McLinn had been located along with Sasko’s 2008 Nissan Altima in the state of Florida.

Late Saturday evening, police received a call from a Florida law enforcement agency who requested verification of the missing teen and vehicle. Lawrence police confirmed they had been seeking McLinn and the vehicle in question in connection to Sasko’s homicide investigation.

Early Sunday morning detectives traveled by air to Florida to verify the finding, and later confirmed that McLinn had been found unharmed and Sasko’s vehicle had been located.

The case involving the death of Sasko remains under investigation.

The Lawrence Police Department thanks everyone who provided tips and information on the whereabouts of McLinn and the vehicle, along with all law enforcement agencies who have assisted with this case.
