OTTAWA, Kan. — Franklin County authorities planned a 4 p.m. news conference Wednesday to release new findings in the investigation of three people found dead this week on a Franklin County farm.

Family members said Wednesday that Kaylie Bailey, 21, is one of three people found dead.

Bailey was last seen on Wednesday and was reported missing on Friday. The whereabouts of her one-year-old daughter remain unknown.

Authorities were tipped off when friends visited the rural home of Andrew Stout on Sunday after not hearing from him for about a week. They said the smelled a foul odor and called police. When police arrived, the friends say officers dismissed the odor as trash.

However, concerned friends said they returned on Monday and found a body in the garage within minutes of being on the property. The friends called police. Officers said they found a second body after searching the surrounding area.

On Tuesday, authorities said they found a third body inside the home. After an extensive search, police said there were no other victims.

Police also announced Tuesday their efforts were now focused on as a homicide investigation.

More than 40 detectives from around the area were working the case from various agencies.
