WENTZVILLE, Mo. — The parents of a 10-week-old boy who died from suffocation while the young couple allegedly drank and did drugs have been charged with criminal neglect.
Twenty-three-year-old Maurice House of Wentzville was arrested Tuesday. The boy’s mother, 24-year-old Jordan Danielle Glenn, was arrested last week.
The St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports that the child, identified only by his initials, died on May 4.
House and Glenn are accused of not checking on the infant for more than 16 hours after putting him to sleep on his abdomen in an adult bed. The boy was in a bedroom on the upper floor of a split-level residence while House and Glenn partied downstairs.
Two other children who were in the home at the time the child died were placed in protective custody.
