KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The Missouri Attorney general filed suit against the owner of a popular wedding venue declared unsafe by Kansas City inspectors.
FOX 4 Problem Solvers first broke the story last year of the illegal wedding reception venue operating out of the city’s historic Stowe Building in the West Bottoms.
Missouri Attorney General Chris Koster announced Wednesday he had filed suit against West Bottoms Hospitality owner Ryan Crowell and ordered him to repay the more than $40,000 he had collected from bridal couples who had booked the building for their wedding reception.
