KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Missouri Department of Transportation employee and another individual were injured in an accident at I-435 and Front Street on Wednesday.
Police said a semi truck smashed into the back of a MoDOT vehicle in the southbound lanes of I-435 at Front Streets as transportation workers were gearing up to close a lane of traffic for bridge work.
The accident happened around 9:30 a.m. It’s unclear what caused the semi to hit the MoDOT vehicle.
The extent of injuries are unknown at this time and no names have been released.
