NORTH KANSAS CITY, Mo. — The City of North Kansas City has a new police chief.
Steve Beamer was named the new Police Chief for the City of North Kansas City on Wednesday. Chief Beamer has served for over 34 years in the police department in various capacities including; patrol officer, detective, sergeant, captain, major and most recently commander of the patrol division.
The City conducted an extensive hiring process that identified some of the best candidates available. Through that process, it became evident that Steve not only has a true love for this community, but also has the skills, knowledge and ability to contribute a great deal to the management team of the City and guide the Police Department into the future.
“I am very happy to be selected as the Chief of Police for North Kansas City. I am proud of this organization and the men and women who serve with it. I look forward to working with the citizens and businesses of the city to help keep it a safe and vibrant community,” remarked the new Chief.
Chief Beamer is a graduate of North Kansas City High School and holds a Bachelors of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration from Central Missouri State University and a Masters of Public Administration Degree from Park University.
