KANSAS CITY, Mo. — It may have been a good weekend to own a glass repair shop in the Northland, but it was an infuriating weekend for some residents after someone shot out the windows of over 20 cars.

Police say that the shooting spree early Sunday morning left shattered windows in vehicles from Kansas City to Liberty. Police say that the shooters used either a BB or Air Soft rifle in the spree.

The vandalism has left a big hole in some Holiday spending budgets.

“I told him to hold off on my present till we got this fixed,” said Lorrie Garrett, whose rear window on her SUV was shattered by vandals.

R.J. Keitchen says that he took pictures of nearly a dozen cars with shattered windows in his Ravenwood neighborhood – including a car belonging to his son’s best friend, who happened to be visiting on the wrong night.

“You just got to wonder why would someone feel that that’s fun,” said Keitchen, who says that now people will have to spend their Christmas gift money on new glass for their vehicles.

Both Kansas City Missouri Police and Liberty Police are asking for the public’s help in tracking down the culprits. If you have any information, please call the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS.
