NEWTON, Mass. — Three Massachusetts police officers are in some hot water after they were caught egging their superior officer’s home.
According to the The MetroWest Daily News, the unidentified trio – all part of the Newton Police Department – were off-duty when they were caught egging their boss’ home in neighboring Framingham, Massachusetts in early December.
Authorities say that the homeowner – a sergeant in the Newton Police Department – had called Framingham Police to report that two “teenagers” threw eggs at his home before driving off in a red car. Local police soon pulled over the vehicle, and identified the two occupants as Newton Police officers.
A third Newton officer was found at the scene, and is alleged to have also taken part in the egging.
The three alleged egg tossers said that the entire incident was just a prank between friends.
No charges were filed in the case, as the Daily News reports that the Newton sergeant would “handle the matter internally.”
