It looked as if Jeff Gordon went undercover and took a car salesman on one wild ride. It was a spot sponsored by PEPSI — and it seemed too good, too funny to be true.
Turns out it was staged. And it wasn’t even Jeff Gordon who drove the car. That was Brad Noffsinger who works for the Richard Petty Racing Event. He gets paid to take people on wild rides around race tracks. All this according to Snopes, a website the debunks Internet rumors.
If you have yet seen the Jeff Gordon/PEPSI spot, it’s worth watching — even if it was staged.
