Ever faced the dilemma of staring at a perfectly-roasted turkey – without a clue how to carve it?

Fox 4 is working for you with help, courtesy of the instructional film “Carving Magic” from 1959.  This film was sponsored by Swift and Company, and features home economist Martha Logan showing how to carve various meats.  The film also features a frame story about a man in despair about his inability to carve meat; it features actor Harvey Korman, in his days before starring alongside Carol Burnett.  (It also features segments on how to carve leg of lamb, ham, rib roasts, and sirloin steak.)  You can view the entire film here.

You may also be interested in the classic film “Dining Together”, also from 1959.  This instruction film was created for children, and showcases proper manners for children feasting on Thanksgiving dinner.  You can see it below.
