KANSAS CITY, Mo. – A 23-year-old black male died from injuries sustained in an overnight shooting on Saturday morning. Police said that they were en route to a shooting call at about 2:30 a.m. on the 8600 block of Troost Ave. when they observed a vehicle fleeing the scene at a high rate of speed.

Officers followed the vehicle to Research Medical Center where the victim was located deceased inside the vehicle. Right now authorities lack a suspect description, anyone with information is urged to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-TIPS (8477).
