OLATHE, Kan. — Police have a suspect in custody after a man was found shot and killed inside an Olathe home last week. Police identified the victim on Tuesday as 26-year-old Jose Antonio-Guzman of Olathe.
Johnson County prosecutors charged 36-year-old Cirilo Duran-Diaz with intentional second-degree murder. He’s being held in jail on a $1,000,000 bond and is set to make his first court appearance on Wednesday.
According to Olathe Police, officers were dispatched to the home in the 200 block of South Walnut around 9:30 on Saturday night on a medical call. When officers arrived, they found Antonio-Guzman dead from an apparent single gunshot wound to the upper body.
Duran-Diaz was arrested Sunday evening, online court records don’t list an attorney for him.
