ST. JOSEPH, Mo. — A 20-month old child was killed in a crash involving a snow plow Monday morning.
The collision, involving a car and a snow plow, happened east of St. Joseph, Mo. on Route C in Buchanan County at about 8:00 a.m. on Monday.
According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol accident report, the driver of the car, Alicca Williams, 24, of Easton, lost control of her car, crossed the center line and hit the snow plow. The report indicated the roads were covered with snow and ice at the time of the crash.
The child has been identified as Kaiber Williams of Easton, Mo. The report stated the child was not wearing a safety device at the time of the crash. The child was taken to Heartland Medical Center, and then transferred to Children’s Mercy in Kansas City, Mo. where he was pronounced dead.
The driver of the snow plow suffered minor injuries and was transported to the hospital by ambulance. The snow plow driver and Alicca Williams were wearing safety devices. Williams was ticketed for improper restraint.

This is the first fatality crash worked by the highway patrol in Troop H in 2014.
