KANSAS CITY, Mo. — All-Star week isn’t just about baseball. It’s also about giving back. And Major League Baseball did just that for a Kansas City organization.

Operation Breakthrough recently got some huge renovations thanks to Major League Baseball, the Kansas City Royals and Magical Builders. On Monday some of baseball’s biggest names stopped by for the unveiling.

Baseball Commissioner Bud Selig was in attendance along with George Brett, David and Dan Glass, owner and president of the Royals. Sharon Robinson, daughter of the great Jackie Robinson, was even there. She read to the kids and talked about her dad.

Operation Breakthrough says its mission is to help children who live in poverty develop to their fullest potential by providing them a safe, loving and educational environment.
