OLATHE, Kan. — Jorge Restrepo, 46, of Overland Park was ordered to remain under house arrest upon his release on bond after he was charged in Johnson County with aggravate criminal threat.
Prosecutors charged Restrepo because they say on November 30th, he went into the Burg and Barrell restaurant, 7042 West 76th Street in Overland Park and while intoxicated, made threats to ‘shoot up the business’ according to police. The manager and staff said they are familiar with him and that he made threats in the past.
However this time they say he was yelling loudly at patrons and uttered ‘pop pop’. When Restrepo left the restaurant, the manager locked him out.
Officers found him nearby and arrested him. He has also been charged with driving on a suspended license.
Bond was set at $25,000.
