OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Authorities are looking for a “Hosmer Imposter” wanted in connection to a theft at an Overland Park Walmart.

According to Overland Park Police, the suspect—wearing a Kansas City Royals Eric Hosmer jersey—broke out the victim’s car window and stole a purse containing $800 cash and credit cards from inside while in the parking lot of the Walmart Neighborhood Market at 9000 Metcalf on Tuesday. Police say that the suspect went to great lengths to pull off the heist, including waiting for a car to leave so he could pull his car into the spot next to the victims.
The suspect also allegedly stole two bottles of water from inside the store.
