OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — The Overland Park Police Department and Animal Control Unit are attempting to locate a dog that bit a woman while she was trying to capture her loose dog.
On Saturday around 11:00 a.m. the woman was bit on the hand by a dog being walked by two teenaged boys while she was attempting to retrieve her dog, who had jumped the fence.
The bite occurred in the 13100 block of Carter. The dog, who bit the woman, is described as a large brown dog weighing approximately 80 pounds. The dog looked similar to a Labrador Retriever and was wearing a leash and harness that went across the nose.
The two teens walking the dog were both described as a 15-year-old boy and a younger looking boy. Both were white males.
It is believed the dog lives in the neighborhood to the north of where the bite occurred. Anyone with information on this case is asked to contact the Overland Park Police Department at 913-895-6300.
