OVERLAND PARK, Kan. — Police are asking the public’s help locating a dog and its owner after a reported dog bite in Overland Park, Kan.

Police said a woman was walking in Overland Park when she was bit on the leg by a large German Shepherd on Sunday. The dog was on a leash with its handler at the time. Police said the handler, identified as a white female in her 20s, did not stop to exchange information with the victim. The handler and the dog proceeded north on Craig from 93rd Street.

The dog handler is described as a young white female with black hair. She is approximately 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs about 140 pounds. She was wearing large black sunglasses at the time. The dog is described as black and brown and had a harness around its shoulders.
