LONE JACK, Mo. –Therapeutic horse riding was supposed to help Kris Steven’s daughter who has autism, but she and her family has learned so much more in the process. According to Steven, Owl Hollow Farm has been therapy for the entire Stevens family.

“We practically live here,” Steven said,  “They are like family to us.”

Steven decided to nominate the farm’s owners Bob and Cathy for  FOX 4’s ‘Pay It Forward’ program. The two received $300 from FOX 4’s Kathy Quinn.

“Funding is hard to come by, but they spend most of their paychecks from their full time jobs,” Steven said. “They still have taking care of the horses.”

Bob and Cathy said they were thankful for the gift.

“Oh my gosh,  thank you so much,” Cathy said. “Everything we bring in goes straight to the kids. We don’t have any administration cause we don’t get paid none of this.”
