OLATHE, Kan. — A local 10-year-old says navigating the court system would be scary if he didn’t have Lisa Campbell, his court appointed special advocate, by his side.
To express how thankful he is for Lisa, Jude nominated her for FOX 4’s Pay-It-Forward Award.
“It is scary because for three years she’s been fighting for me to get me where I need to go,” Jude said. “She always tries to be friendly even though she knows it’s tough for me. She just tries to make me have a good friend in my life so I can worry about the future.”
Jude said without Lisa he’d be miserable.
“I knew you deserve this money because you do so many sweet things for me,” Jude told Lisa as he handed her $300. “You put my puzzle together.”
