KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police identified James D. Barker, 31, as the man that was fatally struck by a vehicle and found on Thursday. Barker had been reported missing since Wednesday morning; he had last been seen at Worlds of Fun on Tuesday, where he worked.

Barker’s body was found off of the roadway in tall grass. He was found next to a street light support that was initially knocked over the collision that took his life.

Police are seeking information about that collision. They believe a white pick-up truck that was pulling a trailer may be responsible. The suspected driver is a white male and the truck will have damage to its front end. Anyone with information is urged to contact the TIPS Hotline at (816) 474-8477 (TIPS).
