JOPLIN, Mo. — The Walk of Unity is one of many events in the Day of Unity marking the one-year anniversary of the May 22 tornado that devastated one-third of Joplin. The walk started at 2:00 p.m. and will follow the path of the tornado until reaching the final destination set at Cunningham Park. There will be a moment of silence at 5:41 p.m., the time the tornado struck.
