KANSAS CITY, Mo. — There was a throw-down in the Ivanhoe community on Friday night, as the best bakers squared off to see who had the best sweet potato pie in the neighborhood.
But as FOX 4’s Mary Pulley reports, it was also a chance to highlight the importance of community gardens in areas lacking easy access to fresh produce.
