PLATTE COUNTY, Mo. — Police have identified the man found dead inside a Platte City home on Tuesday as 56-year-old Darrell W. Brooks.
The Platte County Sheriff’s Department said it received two disturbance calls at the home, located in the 18000 block of Interurban Road on Tuesday afternoon. When investigators arrived they found Brooks deceased. Authorities said his death may be ruled a homicide.
A news release did not indicate how the man died, but the sheriff’s office is interrogating a relative of the victim as a possible person of interest. Deputies wouldn’t go into detail about the nature of the disturbance or how the two people are related, if they are either married or siblings.
