INDEPENDENCE, Mo. – The Jackson County, Mo. Sheriff’s Office is asking for the public’s help in identifying serial ATM theft suspects who have hit to metro area multiple times in past months.

According to a release issued Wednesday by the Sheriff’s Office, “there have been seven ATM thefts and 10 ATM theft attempts throughout the Kansas City Metro Area” since November 2013.
The release says they believe a man and a woman used a heavy duty truck or SUV and a tow strap or chain to pull the ATM out of place. They also believe other tools were used to pry and break the ATM open.
The most recent theft occurred at the Enterprise Bank in Independence. Pictures of that incident have been provided by authorities and can be seen HERE.
A task force has been created to investigate these cases.
