KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are investigating after a man was found dead in a scrap yard on Sunday evening.

According to Kansas City Missouri Police, someone called 911 around 7:00 p.m. to report a dead body in a scrap yard behind some houses near the area of Admiral Boulevard and Tracy.

Officers say that the man, identified only as a black male around 50 years of age, appears to have been dead for several days, and that there were no obvious signs of trauma.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.
