KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police in Kansas City, Kan., continued Thursday to try to identify the remains found Wednesday morning near Wolcott and I-435 by a mushroom hunter.
Investigators have determined that the person is a white male, 20 to 30-years old, around 6 feet tall, and probably missing for about a year.
The white male was wearing a ‘puka shell’ necklace with a shark tooth. Police hope that piece of jewelry will be recognized by someone who knew him and that they will call the TIPS Hotline with the man’s name.

Terry Zeigler, Kansas City, Kan., police chief, said the mushroom hunter discovered the human skull and when police searched the area they found a femur and a few other bones.
