KANSAS CITY, Kan. – Police have identified the victim of another Kansas City, Kan. homicide which occurred early Saturday morning.

Shortly after 1 a.m. on Saturday, Kansas City, Kan. police responded to a reported shooting in the 1900 block of North 5th Street. Officers discovered the gunshot victim, who they later identified as 46-year-old Miguiel E. Powell, inside of a vehicle. Powell was taken to a nearby hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Police said they do not believe this homicide was in connection to Friday night’s homicide, which took place in the 2600 block of Orville Avenue.
