KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police identified the victims from a double homicide on Tuesday as 33-year-old Deon Drew and 21-year-old Rollonn Gordon. Drew and Gordon died Tuesday afternoon when the person or people in a light colored Hyundai opened fire on the men as they sat at a stoplight.

Around 1:30 p.m. gun shots were reported near the intersection of Blue Parkway and Hardesty in Kansas City, Mo.

When officers arrived at the scene, they found three shooting victims inside a red Chevrolet truck. All were taken to the hospital, where Drew and Gordon were pronounced dead and the third was admitted with non-life threatening injuries.

Witnesses described the suspect vehicle as a light-colored compact car, possibly a newer-model Hyundai, which was last seen fleeing south on Hardesty after the shooting.

Police say the rear window of the suspect vehicle may have been shot out.

“Witnesses said they thought the suspects in that vehicle actually shot their own back window out,” said Tye Grant with KCMO Police.
