EXCELSIOR SPRINGS, Mo. – The Excelsior Springs, Missouri Police Department is investigating a shooting and apparent suicide.
Police say a man shot his neighbor in the stomach using a rifle late Friday night.
The 49-year-old male victim was able to flee to another neighbor’s house for help.
Officers found the 53-year-old suspect nearby. Police say he was dead, apparently from a self-inflicted gunshot. The victim is in critical condition.
