FORT WAYNE, Ind. — An Indiana father faces charges after he allegedly drove drunk with four children strapped to the hood of his car.
According to a report from TheIndyChannel.com, Aaron S. Stefanski, 29, was pulling out of a Fort Wayne liquor store parking lot with the four children strapped to the hood of his car with tow straps.
“They were strapped down with one of those straps you crank on a semi to hold down lumber. They were strapped with that thing, wiggling and wobbling down the street,” witness Tom Nowak told WRTV-TV.
The children – ages 4,5,6 and 7 – told police that Stefanski, who is father to three of the children, and another adult passenger, 29-year-old Jessica Clark, asked them if they wanted to ride on the hood of the car.
Stefanski was charged with neglect of a dependent and driving while intoxicated. Clark was arrested on a charge of neglect of a dependent.
According to WPTA-TV, Stefanski’s ex-wife said that she was “livid” over the incident and would be asking for full custody.
