KANSAS CITY, Mo. — A Kansas City, Mo., police officer was dragged by a vehicle when a suspect sped away.

The incident happened Wednesday around 10:40 a.m. in the 3600 block of E. 36th Street in Kansas City, Mo.

Police said they received a call from a woman who said a man she knew stole money from her while she was cooking breakfast for him. They got into an altercation and the man left.After police arrived, the man drove up in his car. When police approached the vehicle to talk to him, the man drove away. One officer became entangled and was dragged. The suspect got away and the officer was not injured.
