KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police are still looking for the suspect wanted in connection to the double shooting that left a Northland mother and her teen daughter clinging to life.
Michelle Roberts-Class and her 14-year-old daughter, Reagan Class, were shot at about 8:15 a.m. on Tuesday at their home in the 10300 block of North Virginia, just west of the Staley Farms Golf Club.
A neighbor found Michelle shot in the stomach in the driveway of her home. Reagan was found inside the home, also suffering from a shotgun wound. Both are still listed in critical condition at an area hospital.
On Thursday, police released the 9-1-1 call from Tuesday morning. In the recording, the caller-identified as the homeowner-reported a suspcicious party armed with a gun. That suspect is described as a “white male in his 20’s, scruffy, white T-shirt.”
When the homeowner asked the suspect what he was doing, the would-be victim reportedly told the 9-1-1 dispatcher the suspect, “Told the caller not to test him, said he wasn’t who he was looking for.” Then the suspect, “Walked out of the calling party’s garage with a shot gun. He was last seen southbound.”
Michelle Roberts-Class, who was found shot and injured in the driveway, warned officers at the scene that the gunman—whom she says she had never seen before—was still inside the home with her two daughters, ages 14 and 9. When police entered the home, they found Reagan Class critically injured.
The younger daughter was found unharmed.
