KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police are searching for an armed suspect accused of robbing a bank.

At approximately 11:30 a.m. on Saturday, officers were called to a reported robbery at the Bank of Weston, located at 6510 NW Prairieview Rd. in Kansas City, Mo. Witnesses said the suspect entered the bank, jumped the counter and demanded cash. The suspect displayed a weapon then fled the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash.

bow913-2As of Saturday, around 3:00 p.m. police were still searching for the suspect, who they believe fled the scene in what could be a black, four door Nissan with a Vanity/designer tag (not state issued) which displayed only the letter “M.” Police believe the vehicle in question was being driven by a female.

He is described as a 6 foot tall, medium build black male, with a light complexion, weighting approximately 160 to 170 pounds. He was wearing blue jeans and a dark blue hoodie with faded lettering. He had on a pale plastic costume mask, black gloves, black tennis shoes and had the hood up on his sweatshirt.

No injuries have been reported as a result of this incident.
