KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Police said Nicole J. Nelson, 26, and her baby girl, Deajahnay Nelson, were located Thursday morning at Children’s Mercy Hospital.
The two were last seen Wednesday morning at their home at 62nd and Walrond in Kansas City, Mo. Nelson has a brain injury that can diminish her mental capacity and an internal pump for medication. Nelson and her daughter live with family, who did not realize they had left. Nelson is not allowed to take the baby out by herself. Concerned for their well-being, the family notified police, who them sought the public’s help in locating Nelson and her daughter.
