KANSAS CITY, Kan. — Police say that a suspect is in custody following a standoff with authorities on Friday afternoon.
According to Kansas City Kansas Police, the suspect was caught breaking into a home near 14th and Orville around 10:30 a.m. He ran into an adjacent building, where he told police that he had a gun and wasn’t coming out.
After negotiating for several hours, the suspect finally surrendered around 4:00 p.m.
The name of the suspect has not been released pending formal charges. There were no injuries reported in the incident.
