KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police arrested at least two juveniles for causing trouble on the Plaza Saturday night.
According to tweets from Chief Forte of the Kansas City, Missouri Police Department approximately 125 juveniles were gathered near the park on the County Club Plaza around 10:30 p.m. Saturday night.
Officers apprehended a 16-year-old male for fighting in the park, and also arrested a 14-year-old who was in possession of a handgun. Police also said other teens were creating traffic issues as well.
On Monday, the Jackson County Family Court division confirmed charges were filed against the 14-year-old boy, who is charged with one count of transfer of a concealable firearm.
Hearings will be closed because the boy is a juvenile.
