KANSAS CITY, Mo. – Police have charged a woman with assault following a shooting and standoff Saturday night.
On Sunday police charged Joy Rasco, 28, with assault after she allegedly shot her father.
Shortly before 8 p.m. officers responded to a report of a shooting at 37th and Mersington where they say a man in his 40s had been shot by his daughter, who was later identified as Rasco. When police arrived at the scene, they located the man in the street, who told them his daughter had shot him after a verbal argument.
