SHAWNEE, Kan. – A woman awoke to a loud bang only to open a door and find two strangers in her home.

Late Tuesday night, a woman was in bed asleep at her home, located on the 6500 block of Larsen Lane, when she awoke to a loud bang she assumed was a picture falling off the wall. That is until she heard voices coming from her living room. The voices appeared to be male. The woman opened her bedroom door very slowly and discovered there were two men inside her home.

According to Shawnee police the woman told them the two men left the house immediately once they saw her, and did so without any incident or interaction with her. The woman described one of the males as a 6’3” tall, 200 pound black male, who was wearing a black beanie and black Carhartt jacket. She was not able to provide a description of the second male.

Police said after arriving on the scene, officers discovered the front door of the home had been forced open. A search with a Police K-9 was conducted but didn’t turn up anything. Authorities are still investigating this case.
