KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The White House announced on Sunday that President Barack Obama will be in the metro on Friday at the Ford Claycomo plant. The trip comes in the midst of the five year anniversary of the financial crisis, President Obama is expected to address the role the auto industry has played in recovery efforts. This is the president’s second trip to the western half of Missouri in less than three months. He visited Warrensburg in July and made remarks on the economy and education before an audience at the University of Central Missouri.
