KANSAS CITY, Mo. — Last fall,  a government panel said healthy men should not get a PSA blood test to screen for prostate cancer. New findings show it doesn’t reduce deaths overall since many men die of other causes first.

But FOX 4 Medical Reporter Meryl Lin McKean says the screening does lower deaths from prostate cancer.
