CLAY COUNTY — Seven puppies were warm again Wednesday evening after someone found them in the freezing cold in Clay County.
The temperature was just 12 degrees when the pups were discovered ditched in the woods. The one-month old puppies had been left with nothing but a blanket.
Wayside Waifs took them in.
“One did not make it but luckily seven of them did, so the couple was nice enough to bring them to Wayside Waifs where we can care for them and give them a second chance for the holidays,” said Jennie Rinas, Wayside Waifs spokesperson.
Wayside Waifs says the puppies need round-the-clock care and are staying at a foster home.
